Interesting thoughts Medusa. I agree the morality of all the characters changes throughout the film. It’s hard to determine just who really is the best/good guy or if there even is such a thing in this world.

Medusa

But he uses it to his advantage. That’s why nobody confronted him. Everyone is scared. I would have loved to have read what the journalist wrote about the shooting of the sheriff. I’m guessing it would be a glorious event not a simple shooting.

Medusa

I think it’s a good movie. I disagree that Gene Hackman is the villain tho, he’s like lots of men especially in that era. He thinks he is better than everyone around him and because he gives himself that air of superiority over the dumb townspeople he gets away with it. It’s all about how your perceived. Just like Clint Eastwood. I actually don’t think he’s as bad as his reputation would have you believe. I know he admits to killing women and children but I don’t believe it.
